Hey guys. Welcome to the Word of the Beard, the official blog of The Bearded Scribe. This is just going to be a bit of an introduction, so please excuse the lack of "content". I promise, future posts will actually be about something other than me or the blog.
A Bit About Me
My name is Alex. I'm married, I have 3 young boys (7, 2, and 3 months as of the writing of this post), and I'm a writer. And yes, you guessed it, I have a beard. I mean, calling my company The Bearded Scribe wouldn't make much sense otherwise, would it?
That being said, I am a pretty busy guy. Between family, work and hobbies (some of which we might get into), I have very little spare time. I'm not complaining though! I love being busy and staying in constant motion. I find it helps to keep me pushing forward and getting better.
A Bit About the Blog
So let's talk about the plan for this blog. First of all, it's not going to be one-dimensional. Just because this is a copywriter's blog, doesn't mean that every post is going to be about copywriting. Sure, there'll be a few. But really, it's going to be about pretty much anything I find interesting. Hopefully you'll be entertained, and maybe even learn something. If not...well, I tried.
Also, I want to keep this blog an open discussion. If you want to hear about something, whether it be about writing, bearding, or just general life, then let me know. I love to write about anything and everything - hence my chosen profession. And after all, this blog is really meant for you. I want to help you, not just spout off for a nice little ego boost. Which reminds me: if I'm coming off like a turd, please tell me. I won't be mad. In fact, I'll thank you for it and hopefully fix myself.

A Bit About the Company
Okay, here comes the obligatory plug. I assume you're not here to be sold on writing services, so I'll keep it short. The Bearded Scribe is a company that provides web copy services. That includes blog writing and product descriptions, along with single web pages, landing pages, and entire web sites (if you're feeling ambitious).
As of now, this is a one-man crew (with some administrative help from said man's wife). But this is not the end goal for The Bearded Scribe. There is much more to come. Keep posted with this blog, and you'll get the behind-the-scenes of our growth.
